OUR STORY
Scrub & Butter was born in 2018 when Lauren, a former NCAA DI athlete, started making small-batch skincare products in her mom's kitchen. After years of playing basketball at a high level, she knew the importance of recovery, but her severely dry skin wasn't getting the same care as the rest of her body. What began as a passion project to heal her skin, slowly grew into a business.
In 2022, Lauren found herself navigating her most demanding chapter yet: motherhood. As a new mom, she was juggling the intense demands of parenting, staying active, and trying to carve out moments of self-care. Not to mention having developed post-partum eczema - once again, life had taken a toll on her skin, demanding a new kind of recovery.
It was during this time that I realized Scrub & Butter wasn’t just about skincare; it was about recovery, and finding moments of care in the chaos.
